The Open-Air Night Market In The Heart Of Chinatown

There are a number of different cultures represented in the city of Seattle.
Seattle has made each culture feel at home and given them the space and ability to create an environment that reflects their culture and way of life.

Each year the Chinese celebrate their own New Years in late January and the celebration continues into the beginning of February. This is the year of the Dragon.
The open air night market in the heart of Chinatown is a mirror reflection of the way Chinese live daily in China. There are all kinds of stalls providing different authentic Chinese dishes, shopping, games, movies, entertainment, and gifts.
This summer there will be celebration of the year of the Dragon during the annual summer festival that has been held in Seattle’s China town since 1978. It is the largest Pan-Asian street festival in the Pacific North West.
Chinese always end their celebration with a fabulous display of fireworks and at this years festival you can rest assured they wont disappoint. The festival will be held in July on the ninth and tenth. There will be more than 100 booths, karaoke singing contest, cultural dancing, kid’s and family activities, a musical performance and much more. Don’t miss it.
